Playdate with Daniel #2

This Monday I had a playdate with Daniel. It was at his house this time.
The first thing we did was play Ticket to Ride. I learned about a lot of new rules. For example, you don't play until you 100 points or more, you play until you use up 43, 44, or 45 of your pile of 45 trains. Then everybody gets one more turn and the game ends. I beat Daniel by around 25 points in the end. It was hard for me, though, because I wasn't used to the rules that way. The game was really long and lasted around 80 minutes. I enjoyed winning, but I also enjoyed just playing the game.
The next things we did were play "Rampage," an old game from the 1980s where you try to wreck buildings. The game was hilarious. Then we ate snack. I had fun seeing how many spicy barbeque Hawaiian Kettle Chips I could eat without drinking water or another beverage. I ate all of the chips in my plate - around 11 whole ones, and when I paused to pour just a tiny bit more, my tongue started burning. I still set the record, though.
The final thing we did was play "Blast A Way," a really good iOS game. The objective of the game is to use bombs and other tools to walk the robot to the finish. You also try to collect as many little "boxies" (there are three per level) as you can. The only bad thing is that the game is expensive and costs $4.99!
To sum up, I had a lot of fun at Daniel's house on Monday!

Playdate with Daniel

Yesterday I had a playdate with Daniel. My favorite game was one we called “Shooting Range”. We took my set of Speed Stacks Cups, and took turns stacking them up in different patterns and then shooting them down. We invented many patterns that had never been seen before, and had a lot of fun shooting them. I took off the timer to prevent the damaging of the cups. After a while, we decided to make it more interesting. We added snowballs, and made up stories. One of my favorites was “Old-time School Field Trip”. Anguished the snowball sat on a cup chair with a “dunce” cup (we imagined that it said “dunce”) on his head, while Ms. Optimistic the snowball was a teacher, teaching the other two snowballs, Surprised and Happy. To sum up, we had a fantastic time yesterday!

Playdate with Kevin

Yesterday I had a playdate with Kevin, my friend. First, we played Ping-Pong. He is a pretty good player, but I was pretty good, too. We were about as good as each other. I couldn't seem to beat him, and he couldn't seem to beat me. After that, we played Air Hockey. I wasn't as good as him – the score was 7-5 or 7-6. He won. Later, we played with Speed Stacks and Snap Circuits. He wasn't as good as me with the Cycle (I got 25.19), but he was a lot better at the other things. He could get under 5 seconds in the 3-3-3, while I couldn't get under 6. He was faster at 3s than me, mostly. We made a flying saucer with the Snap Circuits, and then made an alarm called the “Quiet Water Alarm”. We didn't have a glass of water, so I just told him to connect the wires. He didn't see how it worked, but then realized that water is a conductor, and putting the wires in water is the same as connecting them. Finally, we played Wii Play for a while. He was a lot better than me at that. He won way more times (probably because my remote’s battery was dead). All in all, we had an exciting playdate yesterday!
